This Notice explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your personal information when you use our websites, apps, and cohort-based matching services (the “Services”).
By using the Services, you agree to this Notice. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

1) Information We Collect
You provide:
Contact & account: name, email, phone, university email (for student verification), password.
Profile: photos, age (18+), gender, values, intentions, non-negotiables, lifestyle and schedule preferences, feedback after dates.
Communications: support messages, forms, surveys.
Sensitive information (with consent):
Sexual orientation or related dating information you choose to share.
Optional beliefs or identity attributes if you disclose them for matching or inclusion features.
Collected automatically:
Device and usage data (IP address, device/browser type, pages viewed, timestamps, crash logs). Used for security, performance, and analytics.
Social logins (optional):
If you sign in with Apple/Google/Facebook, we receive basic profile info permitted by that platform and your settings.
2) How We Use Your Information
Provide the Services: account creation, cohort eligibility, profile intake, compatibility analysis, curated introductions, venue/time suggestions, scheduling.
Communicate: confirmations, reminders, service notices, cohort updates.
Improve & ensure safety: quality measurement, moderation, fraud/risk management.
Support & research: respond to inquiries; de-identified analytics to improve matching.
Legal & compliance: meet legal obligations and enforce our terms.
Marketing (with your choices): send updates—you can opt out anytime.
We rely on appropriate legal bases under Canadian law (e.g., consent and reasonable purposes under PIPEDA). You may withdraw consent at any time, subject to legal/contractual restrictions and reasonable notice.
3) AI-Powered Features
Qrush uses AI/ML to enhance compatibility insights, safety, and user experience (e.g., profile understanding, suggestion quality, content moderation). We may engage vetted AI providers (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Cloud). Your inputs/outputs may be processed by these providers solely to deliver the feature, under contracts and safeguards consistent with this Notice.
If Google APIs are used, we adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy (Limited Use).
4) Cookies & Similar Technologies
We use cookies/pixels to keep sessions secure, remember preferences, and measure usage. You can manage non-essential cookies via your browser/settings and our cookie controls (where available). Blocking some cookies may affect site functionality.
5) When We Share Information
We share personal information only as needed to provide the Services, including with:
Service providers/processors: hosting, storage, analytics, communications (email/SMS), verification, moderation/safety, and AI inference.
Business transfers: if we enter a merger, acquisition, or financing.
Legal/safety: to comply with law or protect rights, safety, and security.
Other users: only when you intentionally share info in public/shared features (if offered).
We do not sell your personal information.
6) International Transfers (Including U.S.)
Your information may be processed outside your province and outside Canada (e.g., in the United States) by our providers. We use contractual and organizational safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of your data. While abroad, it may be subject to local laws and access by authorities.
7) Retention
We keep personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes in this Notice and to meet legal obligations. When no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it. If immediate deletion isn’t possible (e.g., backups), we securely store and isolate it until deletion is feasible.
8) Security
We implement technical and organizational safeguards proportional to the sensitivity of your data (access controls, encryption in transit, monitoring). No method is 100% secure—please use the Services in a secure environment and tell us right away if you suspect misuse.
9) Children / 18+
Qrush is for adults 18+. We do not knowingly collect or market to persons under 18. If we learn an account belongs to someone under 18, we will deactivate it and delete the data where required.
10) Your Privacy Rights in Canada (and Quebec—Law 25)
Across Canada (PIPEDA):
You have the right to request access to your personal information, challenge its accuracy and completeness, and request corrections. You may also withdraw consent (subject to legal/contractual limits and reasonable notice). If we refuse a request, we’ll explain why (subject to legal restrictions).
Quebec residents (Law 25):
In addition to the above, you have enhanced transparency rights regarding automated decision-making (we’ll explain how your information is used for such decisions and your options), the right to request de-indexation in some circumstances, and (as phased in by law) data portability. You can contact our Privacy Officer to exercise these rights.
Complaints:
You may contact us at privacy@qrushai.com. You also have the right to file a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (OPC) or, where applicable, your provincial privacy regulator (e.g., Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec).
11) Marketing & SMS (CASL)
We comply with Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).
Email: unsubscribe via the link in any message.
SMS: reply STOP to opt out.
We do not share mobile numbers with third parties for their marketing. Subcontractors may process data only to provide support services on our behalf.
12) Updates to this Notice
We may update this Notice to reflect changes in our practices or the law. The “Revised” date will show the latest version. Material changes may be highlighted on the site or sent to you directly.
